The three existing bins on the site were repurposed to an ecological research station, an educational space, and a resource space.
The cost of removing a grain bin from a site is similar to the cost of constructing one on site. The design concept was to reuse the exiting bins and to create a future expansion with other bins to highlight the regions farming history.
The repurposing of a bin is a cost effective reuse, the educational bin was designed for visiting schools to educate students on the ecological history of the site.
